An Unlocked Moto G6 and $25 Cricket Credit for $185? Forget Black Friday!

After a near lethal dose of tryptophan-laced turkey, stuffing and gravy (oh, and pie…can’t forget the pie!), the last thing I want to do is wait in line in the dark and cold in front of some big box store hoping to score a 10 percent discount on some off-brand tech gift. It’s stupid and takes time away from our loving friends and family – and the pie. Did I mention the pie? As a longtime tech bargain hunter, I’ve found that you can get an equally great (and sometimes better) deal without the hassle that is Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Case in point: right now while supplies last, Best Buy has the excellent unlocked Moto G6 smartphone with a Cricket SIM card and $25 refill card for $185. I own this phone and recommend it constantly, and it’s awesome. It was a great deal at its initial price of $250 and it’s stupid good at $185. To put that into perspective, you could buy FIVE of these (plus some cases and screen protectors) for the price of a single iPhone Xs or Galaxy Note 9 or Pixel 3XL. And what do you get for that little dough? A really nice 5.7-inch HD screen (no notch!), dual rear cameras (with some pretty decent portrait modes), fingerprint sensor, microSD card slot, headphone jack (yay!) and the smoothest and most useful Android software experience around.

The only catch is that you need to add a Cricket SIM and refill card to your cart in order to get the discount. That’s not a big deal as Cricket is a perfectly good prepaid carrier that uses AT&T service and offers great prices. BUT, since this phone is unlocked and operates on any CDMA or GSM carrier, you can simply pop in your SIM Card from Verizon, T-Mobile, Boost, Metro-PCS or other carrier of choice and you’re good to go. Seriously, just buy this phone.

As always, if you need help setting up your new phone, moving contacts and media or finding a low-price cell provider, just call, email or contact me through my website. Happy shopping!
