My name is David Ball and I started Sierra Tech Guy in 2017 as a mobile, in-home/business technology consultation and instruction company serving Nevada County, CA in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I draw on my background as an award-winning journalist with experience in multimedia and online reporting, combined with a general love for technology, to help my clients navigate the often confusing and overwhelming tech choices we face in our modern, interconnected world. Think of me as a "tech concierge," whether it's helping people find reliable and affordable smartphones and cell plans, outfitting a home theater with a great HDTV and streaming services or connecting family and friends through social media. My overriding goal is to save my clients frustration and, most importantly, money.

In addition to these services, in 2018 I launched STG Photography, which offers small family and portrait sessions in the beautiful environments of Northern California. I also specialize in nature and wildlife photography, and prints and other items are available for purchase on the Gallery|Store page. In addition, I offer lessons in digital photography and editing for budding shutterbugs or advanced amateurs looking to expand their creativity and improve  their pictures.
